20th Anniversary
Brought into existence by a vote of Union County citizens in March of 1992, South Arkansas Community College will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year with 20 themed events.
Beginning in late March, the college will note its anniversary in a wealth of different ways, from student-centric events to art shows to public parties.
“It is important that we note this milestone in our history,” SouthArk communications coordinator Heath Waldrop said. “We’ve selected the tagline of ’20 Years and Growing’ because—whether in terms of enrollment, educational offerings or degrees conferred—SouthArk has grown by leaps and bounds in these 20 years.
We’re proud of that and want to share it with the local community, the service area as a whole and our entire region.”
